Verdict
Bhutan has been in excellent form of late and makes a quick reappearance following his success in yesterday's amateurs handicap over the course and distance. However, this will be tougher and he looks worth opposing under a penalty. High Point is versatile regarding the trip having won two of his last three starts from a mile-and-a-half to two miles but is creeping up the weights as a result and may just need this following a three-month absence. Compton Aviator and Halland Park Lad both come here in good heart and merit serious consideration but the vote goes to Nawamees. Gary Moore's charge has been running well in better company than this and put up a particularly good effort when headed close home by Sharmy in a Class B contest earlier in the month. A reproduction will make the five-year-old tough to beat despite a subsequent 2lb rise.
