        Verdict

        Few can boast solid recent form and this doesn't look competitive despite the size of the field. The vote goes to Water Of Life who took full advantage of a significant ease in grade to land a maiden over this trip at Wolverhampton earlier in the month. The John Hills-trained filly won hard-held on that occasion and the victory will have given her a much needed confidence booster after struggling in handicaps this winter. This appears an ideal opportunity to follow up against some moderate rivals. Legal Set was a progressive performer here last winter but does not seem the force of old this time around and looks vulnerable over a trip that stretches his stamina. Blushing Spur lifted a similar event at Wolverhampton earlier in the month and has been in fair form in sellers since but faces no easy task at the weights while Cowboys And Angels has been well below his best of late. Steely Dan has claims on the pick of his form but looked on the downgrade last year and returns from a ten-month absence.
