        Verdict

        Compton Drake, African Sahara and Ryan's Future are all shortlisted in this handicap and the vote is given to Ryan¿s Future. The selection won well last time out on the heavy ground at Nottingham and he looks worth sticking with now that he has found some form. He will need things to fall right if he is to get his head in front as he likes to come from off the pace, but he looks worth sticking with. Compton Drake was disappointing on the turf at York last time, but he would have strong claims if he reproduce his previous winning effort on the AW here when he beat Ma Yahab. African Sahara had no luck in running at Haydock over 1m last time when second behind Goodbye Mr Bond, and he is certainly progressing the right way so he looks to have decent place prospects. Analyze is probably best over 1m so he looks worth taking on over this slightly longer trip, and for the winner we return to Ryan¿s Future.
