Verdict
Cordage gets the vote over Chocolate Caramel and The Geezer, with Bravemore not to be ruled out entirely. Cordage seems to be getting the hang of things judged on latest efforts, and Gerard Butler's colt will be fancied to go one better than when second at Yarmouth on his last outing three weeks ago. Short-headed by Quizzene that day, if handling the Polytrack he may prove hard to catch. Chocolate Caramel was also beaten narrowly, at Wolverhampton the week before last, and was the subject of a gamble that evening so is another to follow this winter, while The Geezer made a pleasing debut her over a mile last month and will benefit for the step up in trip. Bravemore was expected to oblige at Wolverhampton after making his debut in better company at Newmarket but failed to get into the contest until it was all over and is another that should be helped by the longer journey. An interesting affair can go to Cordage.
