Verdict

This looks a match between the two at the head of the weights. But Stand Guard was nowhere near his best in a claiming race at Southwell last time and was beaten by a lower-rated rival when last competing on this surface. It could pay to take him on with LAYLINE, who doesn't have that much to find on today's terms with Richard Hughes taking over the reins. The remainder have little chance either at the weights or on recent form and it's hard to make a serious case for any of them.
