Verdict
Overall, a modest race in which Garrigon can get the better of Badhbh and Morse. A return to the form of his second run would put the selection right there in the shake-up, and it might pay to disregard his last run where he lost his chance at the start. There is the added eyecatcher of Frankie Dettori being booked for the ride. Badhbh has the look of an improver and his third at Brighton last time was a best yet. He has to be high on the shortlist. Rinneen finished third at Ascot on her penultimate start to subsequent Group winner River Belle. However, much as that run clearly flatters her, she should be more competitive back at this level. Rise's best runs so far have come on the All-weather but Jamie Osborne's Morse warrants respect. Much as he failed to build on a Windsor maiden win in June, he too should be more at home at this level. Overall, though, Garrigon gets our vote.
