Verdict

Treasure The Ridge finished ahead of Cotton Club when runner-up at Kempton but steps up in class along with recent Southwell scorer Gabrial The Hero and Wolverhampton winner Grand Meister. The latter pair also step up in distance and Percy Veer is preferred on his earlier second over 2m at Kempton. WAKEA has not raced over this trip since finishing a creditable fourth in the Sagaro at Ascot way back in April. But he will be sharper for a recent comeback run at Wolverhampton when returned a losing favourite and Jeremy Noseda's charge can make amends in this.
