In depth
Verdict
Decent hurdler Rob Leach is interesting making his return to the flat but preference is for Heron's Wing, who gets the vote over Turn 'n Burn. The last mentioned was well held behind Wedding Cake when last seen here in September and is better than he showed that day so cannot be discounted lightly but the Lady Herries-trained Heron's Wing stepped up on his debut effort when staying on strongly behind Stroller over course and distance last time and, with further improvement to come, he looks the safer bet. Sian Thomas looks to be one of Marcus Tregoning's lesser lights and of more interest may be Rob Leach, who has not run on the flat form some time but has shown progressive form over hurdles. Very few of the others really warrant a mention with Hawkes Run probably the best of them and this is expected to go to Heron's Wing.
