          Verdict

          Frenchmans Lodge, Law Maker and Pulse are the trio to concentrate on here and the vote is given to Pulse. The selection ran as though returning to form when a good fourth behind Seven No Trumps on Monday. He is on losing run of 29 but that was his first run for new connections and if he can build on that most recent effort then he could be capable of ending that sequence. Frenchmans Lodge would have claims on the pick of his form and he may well go close here. However, he suffered a nasty fall at Wolverhampton last time and it remains to be seen whether that will affect him here. Law Maker has recently changed stables and he showed that he was returning to his best form when narrowly beating Al Awwam at Wolverhampton. That was his first run for a while so he may well come on for it and he is respected. Arrogant Prince is out of form at present but would be another to consider if he could get anywhere near his best. However, Pulse ran as though his turn was about to come last time and he is nominated to score.

          Kilmeena Star 50-1 Led, hard ridden 2f out, headed over 1f out, weakened quickly, last of 11, 9l behind Pheckless at Lingfield 7f hcp (F4) pol.

          Law Maker 12-1 Led after 1f, quickened clear 2f out, all out near finish, won at W'hampton 5f stk (H5) pol beating Al Awwam by a hd, 13 ran.

          Pulse 50-1 Bumped and carried right start, soon prominent, ridden to chase leaders over 2f out, no extra, 4th of 15, 3 1/2l behind Seven No Trumps at Warwick 5f hcp gs.
