In depth

Verdict

Blue Poppy is a newcomer of interest as a daughter of first-season stallion Blue Point and the betting should help to reflect expectations first time up. ASHWIYAA was well backed on her Cork debut and was only beaten three-quarters-of-a-length by Tiger Belle, who boosted the form with a fine runner-up effort on her second start in a decent contest in the Incentive Race series. That level of form would probably suffice here and she can be expected to improve for the run too. Zelestial shaped pleasingly on debut when fifth at Navan and is another expected to come forward. Zona Verde was heavily backed on second start but could only manage seventh of fifteen, so this help to afford a better view of her ability after three starts.
