In depth

Verdict

LAGOSTOVEGAS (NAP) has been in tremendous form on the Flat and over hurdles this summer and though 9lb higher than when beating Top Othe Ra in a similar class race at Killarney he won with a bit in hand and can overcome the extra. He holds Timiyan on that run but Swamp Fox is another with plenty of experience who appears to be getting better and produced a superb performance to be beaten a head by Tigris River in the Galway Hurdle so he has to be greatly respected. Davids Charm went up a massive 16lb for an easy victory over 2m4f here but it made no difference as he stormed to another clear-cut success over slightly further at Galway for which he's been raised the same amount. The bottom trio are all useful and capable of winning in their class though all are out of the handicap and this is a very tough contest.
