Verdict

King's Wharf was a reserve for the Kerry National yesterday but is much better handicapped over hurdles. He was expected to take advantage at Bellewstown last time but a last-flight error put paid to his chances and his earlier hat-trick had been gained on much quicker going than he'll face here. Memories Of Milan won this in 2014, his last victory, though he's another whose best form has been on faster ground. Buckskin Boulta won a novice hurdle at Hexham but this is much tougher. Heavy ground should bring out the best in OSCAR LANTERN and he can gain compensation after finishing third when well supported for a Limerick handicap in May as his only victory to date came on testing going at Thurles. Floral Fantasy ran a tremendous race behind Our Kylie at Galway and would have to be respected on that form though she hasn't proved herself in the conditions.
