Verdict

John Groucott has three entries with On The Platform, who won a Bangor novices' handicap hurdle in May, looking the pick after a promising start over fences on a return visit in October. Ambion Hill has been placed several times over hurdles without winning but has a chaser's pedigree and is likely to do better. Haldon Hill has had seven starts over fences, all at a higher level than this, so the drop in class should enable him to get competitive. Jobesgreen Lad did well to go close on his chasing bow at Ffos Las and won't need to improve much but the vote goes to FAMILY POT (NAP). A maiden in bumpers and over hurdles, he survived two major blunders to make a winning start over fences here and has only been raised 1lb.
