In depth

Verdict

Donald McCain has booked an 8lb claimer in this conditionals' race for Steinkraus, a winner over 2m3f at Ayr who has never raced over a trip this far. Dual point-to-point winner NELSONS ROCK looked well at home when scoring over the trip under Harry Kimber at Taunton and a 4lb rise doesn't look enough to prevent a follow-up. Canastero had shown ability before getting off the mark at Stratford and looks a threat but Cheer's Delboy is 0-16 though made a very bold bid to make all over slightly further at Huntingdon when only headed at the last.
