In depth
Verdict
Dark Energy put in a moderate effort last time out to claim third at Towcester, though his trainer doesn't have the best of records here and is opposable as he carries top weight due to the conditions of the race. Ask The Oracle has shown little in two jumps starts and remains difficult to back, but front-runner Tayarat has won two races over hurdles and could play a part for Evan Williams. PERFECT REWARD gets the vote having won over course and distance in April and although disappointing after his summer holiday at Towcester most recently (behind Dark Energy), he may just have needed the run out to get his fitness back. He can turn the tables with Dark Energy and get the Perfect Reward.
