Verdict

A competitive bumper to round off the card and there are plenty of positives about CHASING ACES. Rebecca Curtis has her yard in wonderful form and she has a good record at the course. Combine that with her excellent strike-rate when Tony McCoy rides and Chasing Aces could make a winning start since switching from Ireland. Midnight Charmer is a half-brother to successful chasers over this trip and is worth a market check but he may do better once switched to jumping. Bumpers may be perfect for Lieutenant Miller at present given the winners in his bloodline and he has had the benefit of a run already. Forever Waining is another with claims after showing some ability at Uttoxeter on his first outing. Of those with experience, Egypt Mill Spirit looks the one to beat having finished third on rules debut here. However, Chasing Aces could improve enough to take the finale.
