Verdict
Chickapeakray showed enough in an equally poor race last time to warrant support here, with Eastwell Violet and King's Mountain the main dangers. Dangers is probably the wrong word to use based on the evidence so far, but both the last named are in turn better than the rest. That pair have it to do though with Chickapeakray who showed a modicum of ability last season, and who kept on well enough when second to Little Brave at Towcester in April. This less exacting test should help his cause, and he is taken to oblige. Eastwell Violet looks held on the Towcester form, while King's Mountain was well beaten at Fakenham last time but takes a drop in grade. Royal Prodigy was pulled up at Wincanton last time but would have minor claims on earlier form, without being good enough to trouble Chickapeakray who is taken to go one better.
