In depth
Verdict
The reappearing Evan Williams-trained Piran and the consistent and in-form Lahib The Fifth both have to be respected in this beginners' chase but preference is for Neveesou, who has an obvious chance in this company. The selection is by some way the highest rated of these over hurdles and, while lacking any experience over the larger obstacles, he may be worth chancing with the David Pipe yard back among the winners now. Wembury Point also comes from a yard in good form but gave little sign for encouragement on his chasing bow and is probably best watched now. Royal Katidoki is difficult to recommend on the evidence of his form shown since joining Charlie Egerton and of more interest may be Piran, for who lack of a recent run need not be of concern. Lahib The Fifth should win his fair share of races but Neveesou could be different class to these and he is preferred.
