In depth
Verdict
My Sharp Grey is in a rich vein of form at present and can notch another win, with Russian Count and Saafend Rocket others to note. They do not often improve when leaving Martin Pipe but My Sharp Grey has thrived since moving to John Gallagher, and was good value for her recent seven-length course and distance victory over Dancing Pearl last week. Hold up tactics suit her well, and with a fast pace very likely, she is worth supporting to defy a penalty. Russian Court has the assistance of James Davies and on a line though Dancing Pearl is closely matched with the selection. He is a past course and distance winner and could be dangerous. The Gene Genie ran fairly well on his second outing of the season a fortnight ago, while Saafend Rocket is on a hat-trick and could not have been more impressive than when beating Rimosa at Hereford last time. In a competitive affair, a tentative vote goes to My Sharp Grey.
