This looks like a tight affair in which Damus will have his supporters, but he is a disappointing type so we are happy to take him on with the consistent Nick The Jewell. The selection is a little high in the weights at present but could still be capable of taking this as he is in great heart and is more reliable than most of these. He is also a course and distance winner, and with conditions in his favour he will not be far away at the finish. Damus is certainly capable of winning but the percentage call is to oppose him as he more often than not lets his supporters down. He was a fair second behind Jupon Vert last month at Warwick and if he is the mood he will not be far away, but he seems the type whose reluctant to put his head in front. Fiery Peace is another that can't be discounted as he was a decent second behind Lord of the Hill last month, and he could still be on a handy mark at present. Runner Bean is a course and distance winner and could go well, but he is prone to making errors while Special Agenda is from a shrewd yard and could go well if the market speaks in his favour. This looks a tight contest, but we are happy to side with Nick The Jewell.
