Nicky Henderson was on fire at Newbury on Wednesday and the stable will be confident of a big run from Native Approach. A bumper winner at Worcester in the summer, she was third to Fragrant Rose on her debut over timber at Taunton three weeks ago and meets that rival on 8lb better terms for the six lengths that separated them. However, that Fragrant Rose's second win over obstacles, Henrietta Knight's mare having opened her account at Hereford. She struggled to hold off Macnance on that occasion, but the second, third and fifth have all won subsequently to give the form a solid look, and despite the concession of a stone to her main rival, she has impressed us enough to warrant supporting. The rest look up against it but watch out for Mincarlo who will come on for the outing. She showed guts when landing a bumper at Towcester last term and was not far behind Fragrant Rose on her final start at Cheltenham.
