Verdict
A wide open bumper rounds off proceedings, and the market may prove the best guide as to what is expected, but the selection is Mister Flint. The Petoski gelding is from a yard that has a good record in this sphere this season and he is sure to be well forward for this his racecourse debut. Samuel Charles rates the main danger as he has experience on his side and was a fair fifth behind Millers Bay at Hereford on his debut. Champagne Harry was only 26 lengths behind Rhinestone Cowboy last time out and a reproduction of that effort would see him go close as there looks nothing of that caliber in this field. Caribbean Cove is well bred and showed a modicum of ability on his debut when he was seventh here behind Phar From Frosty but he has a pedigree full of stamina and may do better over further. Boardroom Dancer is from an up and coming yard and is worth a cautionary look in the market. Nikson is from a stable that is beginning to hit top form and any market move could be significant.
