Verdict

Cracked Rear View was only beaten three lengths at Newcastle, despite finishing third of four, but better was expected. NOBLE NED (NAP) is superbly bred, being by Kayf Tara out of an Alderbrook mare. He won a maiden point-to-point last March in a canter and Harry Fry expects him to make a decent chaser so he can make a winning debut under Rules today. Kk Lexion shaped with promise in a Killarney maiden in August and can go well on his first start for a new stable while Derksen is another nicely-bred sort who should be placed to good effect in the weeks ahead.
