In depth

Verdict

Little strength in depth and SHADY GLEN is little more than a token choice as it's hard to feel comfortable supporting one who's fallen the last twice and hasn't had a run since last September. However, he was going well when coming to grief on both occasions when chasing and two prior runs also over the larger obstacles showed him to be in decent form. The best of his hurdling runs do not read too badly either and he's awarded a hopeful vote. Noble Galileo has shown little since joining his yard from France and Tim Vaughan will be hoping a first-time visor will provide some spark, whilst Robben would have a chance if able to reproduce his form on the level over timber. He is only four though and has time on his side so may well emerge as the main danger. Primo Rossi is out of the handicap but has a squeak.
