In depth

Verdict

Kevin Ryan has his string in good order and his Dilsaa is preferred over Heavenly Stride on the predicted going, while Greencard Golf is unexposed and can play a leading role in this modest seller. The selection has not stood much racing over the last couple of years but has been showing signs of steadily finding his form again lately. The demanding nature of the course at Uttoxeter found him out during his latest start and he will be much better suited to this track. In fact, Dilsaa has gone well here in the past and, with several doubts about his rivals, he looks to have a solid chance in this company. Heavenly Stride drops into a seller for the first time and has to be respected. However, he really needs a down pouring of rain for him to be seen at his best. Greencard Golf has scope for improvement and has not been over faced with his target in trying to follow up his win from last time out. Nevertheless, his trainer is of the opinion that he still has plenty of maturing to do and he may find at least one too wily for him. Sylcan Express is another to bear in mind if he is supported, as he should handle the conditions. The flip side is, like most of the rest, he is a touch unreliable and cannot be backed with any great confidence. Therefore, we take our chance with Dilsaa now that his fitness has been boosted with a couple of recent outings.
