Verdict
A noteworthy contest for future reference can go to Enhancer, whose improving profile gives him an edge over Romany Prince and Chase The Sunset, while Whispered Promise proved that he has ability in this sphere and is one to bear in mind as an alternative. The last named won well at Aintree on his hurdles debut; displaying a good attitude when put under pressure near the finish. That form is yet to really be put to the test and it remains to be seen how reliable it is as a guide. Still, Whispered promise has scope for improvement and holds an each-way chance here. As does Chase The Sunset, who showed his appreciation for reverting to hurdles by winning at Worcester last month. That effort received a boost from Rebelle earlier in the week and Henrietta Knight's charge should go well again here. Romany Prince has so far failed to live up to expectations in the winter game and is in danger of becoming disappointing. He has a touch of class about him but does not always consent to use it. Therefore, we prefer to side with Enhancer, who is a tough battler that deserves a change of fortune. Timmy Murphy, who rode the gelding when he won at Cheltenham in April, is an eye catching jockey booking and the partnership are fancied to come out on top again here.
