      Verdict

      Another small but competitive field goes to post for this handicap hurdle and the main protagonists appear to be Italian Counsel Ei Ei and Jamaican Flight and we will take a chance on Italian Counsel. The gelding from the Luke Dace yard has won his last two races in good style and although he has risen in the weights he will be hard to beast as the race may be set up form him as Jamaican Flight and Ei Ei could cut each bothers throats up front. Ei Ei ran well in defeat when second behind Western Ridge on rain softened ground. If the rain stays away he is sure to run his usual game race. Jamaican Flight has been in fair form of late and the booking of Tony Dobbin catches the eye. Of the remainder Meldrum Star is from a shrewd yard but we are happy to stick with Italian Counsel.
