Verdict
Il Cavaliere made a very pleasing chase debut last time, and can go one better today, Batoutoftheblue and Rookery Lad look the obvious dangers. The selection was rated as high as 124 over hurdles following wins in decent handicaps and although running a bit keen on his fencing bow, he did well to finish runner up to Ta Ta For Now up at Perth. The experience will have done him the world of good and he looks the best prospect here. Batoutoftheblue landed a claiming hurdle off a mark of 117 last time and will no doubt have been well schooled by his shrewd handler, for this his chase debut. Rookery Lad could prove best of the remainder having shown plenty of ability in three chases this season, however Il Cavlaiere has the potential to go far at this game and is given the vote.
