In depth
Verdict
Runaway Bishop has been in good form of late winning his last three starts but this looks tougher and preference is for Bolton Barrie, who is preferred to Double Bogey Blues. The last mentioned has gradually slipped to a fair mark and won his first race for over a year when staying on well to lead close home at Towcester last month. Towcester is a demanding track though and this may come too soon for the eight-year-old so preference is for Bolton Barrie. Richard Guest's gelding won with plenty in hand at Southwell over shorter last time but has shown his effectiveness over today's trip before and is taken to follow up. Sue Smith's Supreme Breeze has to be respected, along with Dai Burchell's Paddy The Optimist and Ross Leader, who returned to form last time. However, Bolton Barrie holds solid claims and gets the vote.
