      Verdict

I Got Rhythm looks very capable after a short break to get the better of the likes of Meldrum Star, Bergamo and course winner Aston Mara. The selection disappointed on his last two racecourse appearances but had previously shaped well in races at Haydock, Ayr and Wetherby. He raced on those occasions as though a step up in trip would help and he is taken as the value to score in a tricky race. Bergamo is a most likeable sort and showed his well-being with a decent effort at his favourite Sedgefield last time out. He needs to improve on that effort to get serious here but with the ground going in his favour he has decent each-way claims. Aston Mara may not jump off the page at first glance but this course winner could be value at the predicted 33/1. A gelding who goes well at this time of year he rarely runs a bad race at this track and has the assistance of Graham Lee here today. Meldrum Star is another who goes well at this track but he may need this run having been off the track since Boxing Day. I Got Rhythm then is the selection in what looks a very tight race on paper.
