Royal Snoopy has the best form in the race and is preferred here over Mullensgrove and Perchancer. The selection has been in good form over point-to-point obstacles of late and was a winner recently. He has the best form under Rules and is taken to win - albeit at a short price. Mullensgrove is a consistent finisher in most of his contests and will take advantage of any mistakes from the favourite. The course and trip hold no fears and he is expected to go well. Perchancer has disappointed lately over points and will need to put up a career best effort to win but he is in the capable hands of Arnie Armitage and could run into a place. However Royal Snoopy looks the call to beat a moderate field in a moderate contest.
