JEEPYDOFF MEEL didn't manage to win in seven starts for Gordon Elliott but did compile a decent sequence of useful efforts in maiden hurdle company. He delivered a satisfactory debut for new connections when dead-heating for second spot in a Cartmel handicap and this a good opportunity for the gelding to seal a first career success. Gaius has shown some ability on each of three outings but the form of his Aintree second three weeks ago is hard to evaluate as a number of leading contenders failed to finish. He does look the main threat though, with newcomer Moonlit Warrior also respected as he was a triple winner on the level for Michael Bell and now debuts for David Pipe over timber. St Patricks Bridge houses a mixed profile and the overall feeling is that improvement is required.
