The Caribbean attracted little support when sent to York and though showing good speed never looked likely to win. Jakajaro made a promising debut at Cork but pulled much too hard at the Curragh next time. Joseph O'Brien won this last year and Ascendent showed plenty of pace when finishing first past in a Naas barrier trial while Duplantis is the first foal of a winning miler. IMPERIAL MAGIC cost 100,000gns as a foal and almost double that as a yearling. He's a full-bother to a Grade 2 winner in the USA and half-brother to another two winners.
