In depth

Verdict

GORDON BENNETT started last season on a mark of 74 and is now 23lb higher after landing three of his last four. He goes well fresh and can take care of his younger rivals. Tango Flare dropped to this trip for the first time when a convincing winner of a Cork maiden and has the scope to go on to better things as does Ostraka, a very impressive debut winner over the trip at the Curragh when totally unfancied. Dundalk winner Queen Maedbh was only beaten a length in a tough handicap at The Curragh and though My Eyes Adore You is 1-13 she has been racing in Pattern-race company and was only beaten a length in a Group 3 at Naas last summer.
