In depth

Verdict

No Thanks has won on the Flat and joined an in-form yard. Crimson King and Cormier could also go well but Brian Hughes prefers the latter’s stablemate Urban Legend. Cracking Destiny’s victory at Carlisle in March puts him in the picture, though he’s better known as a chaser and carries a penalty. MARINE ONE showed ability in Ireland and Richard Newland is likely to improve him further so he gets the nod as the mare Absolute Jaffa, a good second here last September, has had wind surgery since last seen. Bear Valley has won up to 1m6f on the level but he’s disappointed in his two hurdle runs so far.
