Verdict

That Look is taken to complete his hat-trick although Stellenbosch and Boss Imperial could give the selection something to think about. Don Cantillon's charge does have to contend with a rise up the weights and a drop in trip but he has won his last two starts in the style of an improving horse and can overcome both obstacles. He only needed to be driven out to score at this track last time and rates the one to beat again. Stellenbosch was rather surprisingly turned over at Cartmel last time but that idiosyncratic track may not suit every horse and he could be worth another chance with cheekpieces fitted for the first time. Ursis and Jacks Craic could go well if recapturing their best form but English City and Boss Imperial have stronger credentials based on their recent form. English City ran out a ready winner at Perth and looks well treated despite a penalty if able to reproduce that effort whilst the latter had the misfortune to bump into a good one last time and should go well here. Preference though is for That Look.
