Verdict
A competitive contest gets proceedings under way with many in form rivals in opposition including Showpiece, Silvertown and Samsaam. However we prefer to take a chance on Latalomne. The gelding from the bang inn form is better known as a chaser but he is better handicapped over hurdles and with conditions in his favour he could go well at a fair price. Silvertown rates the main danger he is still well handicapped on some of his old form and his latest win over Star Trooper gives him every chance. Showpiece is another worthy of respect. He won well over course and distance last time when defeating Ei Ei. However he has risen in the weights for that win and he may be in the handicappers grip now. Samsaam also won well last time out but the drop back to the minimum trip is not sure to suit. Of the remainder Loop The Loupe and Ragdale Hall are from top yards and are worth noting in the market.
