Verdict
Nothing inspirational as far as form is concerned here, but the race can go to Bobsbest, with Belvento and Coppeen Cross likely to go well. The selection returns to fences after a decent spell over hurdles, having won over 2m 6f here and also been second on his three latest starts. He is clearly in great heart and loving the fast ground and a 7lb drop over fences since his last run can see him score. Belvento is tried over shorter after contesting races over three miles lately. He does well on a sound surface, but has top weight to shoulder and was clear second best last time, so it is difficult to see any improvement here, though he can get a place again. Coppeen Cross has been brought along in typically patient fashion by local trainer Owen Brennan and can gain further reward for that with a place here. The nine-year-old has only has four career starts, but put up a good effort to be two lengths adrift of the useful Teaatral here last time. A repeat will see him go close, but the weights are in favour of the selection, Bobsbest.
