        Verdict

        Canadiane has progressed well over fences of late and was particularly impressive when a wide margin winner at Hereford earlier in the month. Martin Pipe's charge should continue to improve and will be hard to beat at this level. Pauntley Gofa has struggled since landing a hurdles event in November and his jumping left plenty to be desired on his recent chase debut while Deferlant lost his way over timber last term and has something to prove on his chasing bow on his return.
