In depth

Verdict

Himalayan Blue is not the safest of conveyances but looked an unlucky loser here last week. Peter Beaumont's charge travelled well throughout and looked sure to score with ease until stumbling at the final fence and unseating his rider. The son of Hallgate is worth a chance to atone for the mishap. Guid Willie Waught is 7lb higher for a most comfortable victory at Stratford and should give another good account while Lord Fleet shaped as though ready to strike judged on his latest effort and is another to consider.
