Ovthenight has been in good from of late with wins here and at Southwell in the summer but Pam Sly's gelding has a hefty penalty to carry for those successes and a better bet looks to be BRUSLINI, who gets the verdict ahead of Sadler's Star. Alan King's gelding fell two out when with every chance at Newton Abbot last month having run well in defeat behind Zafar here previously and he makes plenty of appeal. Paul Roche's Carrolls Cross won well at Newton Abbot at the beginning of the month but is likely to find this tougher under his penalty as is the reappearing Cavagh Bridge, who looks the pick of the two runners trained by Nigel Twiston-Davies. Tim Walford's Timocracy made a promising debut over hurdles prior to falling at Sedgefield recently and he is another to consider but a better bet looks to be Bruslini. The gelding was highly tried in the Fred Winter when last seen but earlier form was solid and, if Philip Hobbs has him fit enough for his return, he should be good enough to beat his rivals today.
