In depth
Verdict
Little to go on but ex-Australian flat horse All Rock Hard should appreciate these conditions vis-a-vis his first start for RIchard Guest and we will take him to beat Barton Rock. Guest's globetrotting for horses led to plenty of New Zealand bred winners for Norman Mason and the shrewd handler has probably unearthed yet another source. He ran encouragingly enough on soft ground at Haydock for a long way on UK debut and should have come on for the race. Barton Rock had the useful Personal Assurance behind him at Sandown but that is the only positive mark in what has been a moderate career up to this point. The market is watched with regard to Known Manouver. Modest on the flat over middle distances, the knowledgeable local crowd will very much have their fingers on the pulse about him. Di's Dilemma could be the fly in the ointment. A disappointing favourite at Towcester last time out - he was third in a bumper here prior to finishing second to Henrietta earlier in the season. All Rock Hard is recommended in the absence of market information.
