Verdict
A poor contest where the standouts are Alpha Rose, Adiysha and Erins Lass, with the latter getting the vote. Erins Lass has never been out of the first two in three starts here, winning in June over course and distance and then only just failing to follow up on her next start. Exposed last time out off a mark of 88, she has been slightly assisted by 1lb drop, but better still is her clear love of Market Rasen and the weaker opposition, so she is taken to score. Adiysha makes the trip over from Ireland, having taken a firm ground Wexford handicap last time. With that better than normal effort under her belt, and the fact that a trip over for a ¿5,000 race seems unlikely without connections feeling she has a chance, we expect another decent effort. Of the remainder Alpha Rose has shown the best form to date. Charlie Egerton has given the mare a break since a disappointing run at Newton Abbot in June and as she goes well when fresh and has Tony McCoy booked, we can see her running a big race, and though she may well be up to challenging the selection, we are staying loyal to Erins Lass.
