    Verdict

AL TARIQ won this last year and has returned in excellent form, scoring at Jebel Ali before landing a Group 3 here three weeks ago from Freedom Fighter with stablemate Canvassed almost seven lengths behind. He has a small penalty to carry and may have a battle to get to the front with the South American-trained Bet Law, who made all for a convincing victory last month though takes on better class rivals. Positivity, a winner at Santa Anita in October, showed blistering pace to finish runner-up in the California Sprint Cup back there last month and looks better than stable companion Notre Dame, a winner on the same track on Boxing Day.
