Verdict
Mad Money made all when completing a double over fences and started a short-priced favourite when attempting to take advantage of a lower handicap mark over hurdles at Hexham but was soon done with when headed and pulled up. That most certainly wasn't his form and he can bounce back though he's likely to be taken on again for the lead by Shantou Tiger and may not have the pace to stay with him. Donald McCain's charge hadn't been running well before making all for a comprehensive victory at Bangor and will take some catching in that kind of form. However, the front-runners could set up the race for REV UP RUBY (NAP). The winner of a similar class handicap at Cartmel last summer, she only returned to action last month and ran well for a long way in a better race than this at Hexham. Touch Of Steel, who won over the course and distance a year ago from just 1lb higher, has been running poorly.
