Verdict
Seguidilla looks to have been found a decent opportunity to get off the mark at the expense of Johnny Parkes and Orpenberry. The daughter of Mujadil finished seventh to Attraction in the Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot and looks to have nothing of that caliber in opposition here. Previously a fair second at Bath, she has all the right ticks in the right boxes and looks difficult to oppose in the opener. Johnny Parkes is likely to be well supported by the smaller punter. He was well held behind Tyne at Redcar on debut but there was plenty of early speed on display. Given that he is closely related to Robinia Parkes and Charlie Parkes; this was perhaps no surprise but we will be keeping a watching brief today. Orpenberry was third on debut at the track and this was not a bad performance given her unfurnished look. There are races to be won with her but her breeding suggests that she will make a much better three-year-old and we will pass over her here. Gemini Girl and High Swainston look held on the book. The market should offer most clues to the chances of Chantilly Sunset and El Parmar. Having considered the race, we firmly believe that Seguidilla is the one to stick with albeit at a short price.
