In depth
Verdict
Nothing jumps off the page but HERE NOW AND WHY, formerly with Michael Grassick in Ireland, looked a capable sprint handicapper when landing a couple of contests for his new yard last autumn and could be good enough here if suitably revved up for his first run of the campaign. His C&D success over Cayman Fox reads well in the context of this contest although there is a slight concern he might find this a bit sharp first time out. Soopacal has the benefit of fitness but is hard to catch right and the consistent Sandwith, another C&D winner and going well enough on the all-weather, looks a likelier danger over his optimum trip. Another veteran, the reliable Spirit Of Coniston, also merits respect.
