Verdict
Rievaulx Valentino is selected in preference to Fol Hollow and Shatter Resistant. The selection has shaped with a modicum of ability and having shown improvement over three runs thus far, the half-brother to My Mirasol would not, on breeding at least, be particularly fazed by the going. Fol Hollow wasn't too far away at Newcastle on his recent start. There was a feeling that he may have been worried out of it close home and this needs to be factored into any bets. Shatter Resistant looks sure to be up there throughout but will need to put the race to bed early. Rocheport is bred to be better for experience and is not ignored if the money is seen trackside. Will Bill Tracey hails from a stable known for their two-year-olds so should not be discounted on debut. Grudge ran much better than his 80/1 odds may have implied at Carlisle on his latest appearance. Rievaulx Valentino looks best equipped for this assignment and secures the nomination.
