        Verdict

        Rossin Gold is taken to produce a surprise victory at the expense of Cotton Eyed Joe and Artless. The selection is racing from out of the handicap but has been performing entirely competently between the sticks and if able to reproduce it on the level, the booking of Daragh O'Donohue looks entirely positive. Cotton Eyed Joe has few secrets these days and has to be respected under Jamie Spencer. It has been prudent to oppose on the turf and it is with reluctance to do so again. Artless is bred to stay trips and Sir Mark Prescott's runner will typically be a player in the market on handicap introduction. Nimra has proved difficult to win with although the handicapper is at least offering some respite. Alfonso ran a fair race at Ayr under a front-running ride so it would not be a surprise to see him adopting a similar tactic here. Danzatrice probably prefers faster going while course winner, Ostfanni is one to watch in the market over today's shorter trip. Rossin Gold is the recommendation.
