Verdict
ECONOMIC CRISIS provided Alan Berry with his first winner since getting his licence back when successful in a better-class handicap than this last weekend. He has a penalty to contend with but victory number 11 looks on the cards for the veteran. Luv U Always is still a maiden but wasn't beaten far in that event and has a massive weight advantage so has to be considered while Dawoodi was narrowly beaten under a big weight at the same fixture having won here last month, though a strike-rate of 1-17 tempers enthusiasm. Pavers Pride ran well in a better race than this at Redcar last time and a repeat can see him in the picture but Groundworker's last two victories have been on Tapeta at Newcastle.
